Stop and Mentor Program
The JGF (Joseph Gabriel Foundation) “Stop and Mentor” program is dedicated to providing vital support to at-risk youth, particularly those in historically marginalized and underserved communities.
Program Overview:
The JGF “Stop and Mentor” initiative seeks to provide targeted intervention and prevention services for youth and families who are experiencing the harmful effects of gang violence, mental health illness, and substance misuse. These challenges often create significant barriers to academic success, emotional well-being, and overall life outcomes for young people.
By pairing at-risk youth with dedicated mentors, we aim to address these challenges holistically, improving both short-term outcomes (such as academic performance) and long-term outcomes (such as reducing school dropout rates, juvenile delinquency, incarceration and mental health issues).
