Stop and Mentor Program(SAM)
Our Mission
The Joseph Gabriel Foundation, through its SAM Incarceration Program, is committed to supporting women, youth, and families impacted by incarceration through trauma-informed, restorative, and preventative services. SAM—Support, Accountability, and Mentorship—addresses the root causes of justice involvement by centering healing, education, and personal growth.
We believe that incarceration should not define a person’s future. Through culturally responsive programming, educational workshops, mentorship, and reentry preparation, SAM creates pathways that strengthen individuals, stabilize families, and rebuild communities.
